| Abstract: | To develop the steel core wire rope for port quayside container crane, whose nominal diameter is 36 mm, minimum breaking force is 990 kN, main strand is 6 pieces, main strand structure is 1-7-7 ＋ 7-14. By analyzing data of wire rope enterprises domestic and overseas, the rope core was designed into compacted strand steel core, and the wire rope structure was determined as 6 × 36WS-IWRC（K）. The steel wire diameters and lay pitches of main strand, main rope, steel core and the tensile strength of strand dismantling steel wire are given. The breaking forces of the produced 3 pieces of wire rope are 1 000,1 002,1 012 kN respectively, the measured breaking force not only satisfy the ordering technical re- ~mirement, but also the value are stable. |
