| Abstract: | The average growth rate of EPDM consumption reached 8%-10% annually during the 1980 s ,in contrast to the slow growth of general synthetic rubbers ,EPDM ranked third in production and consumption among the seven major types of synthetic rubbers . The worldwide status of EPDM as well as the capacities and expansion plans of the major producers are introduced . The drives behind the rapid growth of EPDM are reviewed in respect to the applications and market distributions . |
