With a PDM example of Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant,the paper presents the construction,working procedures,functions of PDM and caution items in the process of developing and applying PDM.The needs,feasibility and important significance of implementing PDM to settle core matters of plants' information constructing are expatiated, and some useful conclusions are obtained.Thus,the paper offers an useful reference to the information construction for enterprises that produce mostly reckoning on contracts, especially on single or small batch of nonstandard production.
