英汉情感用语的象似性与非象似性

摘    要:象似性是指语言符号和所表示的事物之间存在着一种根本的联系;非象似性是指人们用来表示事物的名称和符号,其形式与他们所指之间并没有什么内在的联系,是约定俗成的结果。本文试图以英汉情感用语为例,说明:1.语言使用排比修辞手法时具有象似性的特征;2.语言使用夸张修辞手法时具有象似性特征;3.言语通过语义搭配形成转义或者歧义时具有非象似性的特征。

Iconicity and Non-Iconicity of English Chinese Words About Feelings

Abstract:Iconicity means a close relation between the symbol of language and something people want to express.Non-iconicity means the names and signs which people can express.Nom-iconicity has nothing to do with the referents.Non-iconicity is the conventional result.This paper tries to use examples of English and Chinese words about feelings to prove that language is characterized by iconicity when it is used by parallelist rhetori,that language is characterized by iconicity when it is used by hyperbole rhetoric.and that words which are collocated with the semantic content are characterized by non-iconicity when they can change into figurative sense and different meanings.
