摘    要:有机和无机颜料在应用过程中不同于染料,是以微细颗粒的状态分布于被着色介质中。染料是溶剂于应用介质的着色物质。染料着色性能几乎完全依赖于其化学结构,但颜料除化学结构以外颗粒的物理性能,如粒状大小与形状,粒径分布及颜料粒子表面极性对颜料的应用性能起到重要作用,诸如:光学特性(颜色λmax、着色强度、透明度、遮盖力、光泽度、鲜艳度),耐久性能(耐光牢度、耐气候牢度、耐溶剂性能、耐热稳定性、耐迁移性能、抗乳化性能),分散性能(易分散性能、分散体稳定性),流变性能等。

Abstract:Organic and inorganic pigments differ from dyes in that they remain particulate in application. Dyes are substances that are soluble or go into solution during the application process. Dyes' coloristic properties are almost completely a function of their chemistry, but the properties of pigments greatly depend upon the physical characteristics of their particles. In the discussions below, the relationship of pigments' physical characteristics, especially organic pigments, to their application properties will be examined.
