How Does Owner Avoid Contractor''''s Claim for Over-compensation

This paper analyzes the potential factors of claim for compensation during executing the engineering construction contract in three aspects, i.e. the counterclaims caused by project alteration, by owner's inadequate implementation of contract, and by incorrect instruction or excess interference from owner and supervising engineer. The opinions are presented that owner should hold out or prevent the over-compensation claimed by contractor by changing his management mode and enhancing the process control, so as to reduce the cost control risk, to steer and promote the development of sane regulation.
