Application of Value Chain in Management Information System of Real Estate Development Enterprises

Value chain is one of the analytical tools commonly used in establishing management information system for enterprises. Based on the value chain theory，this paper explores the value chain and its value activities of real estate development enterprises，establishes the basic framework for the management information system of real estate development enterprises from the perspectives of strategic planning，design implementation，and operational evaluation. And then it describes the key elements of the applications of the value chain，in terms of value chain integration，value chain analysis and value chain accounting. With the introduction of the value chain concept，the management information system of the real estate enterprise need focus on the critical value activities to improve the customer value，maximize the utilization of information resources，and thus achieve the competitive advantage in terms of cost optimization and diversification.
