Research of China Oil Import Security in the Context of Covid-19

The Covid-19 has brought the development of the global oil industry into a period of continuous turmoil.To avoid the adverse impact of the blocked international oil trade on the energy security and of the oil supply disruption on the socio-economic development in China,we need to formulate countermeasures and preventive measures in advance,and puts forward some measures to reduce the external dependence on oil consumption as well.On one hand,from the perspective of energy substitution,we should reduce the long-term oil use based on the nation’s resource conditions.On the other hand,we need expand strategic oil reserves.As a result,by establishing a short-term emergency response to extreme political events,we can develop the strategy of“substitution&reserve”to bring the oil security risk under control in China.
