| Abstract: | Freeze-drying process develops as a technique for biological pharmacy and later as a means for the preservation of foods. As an advanced technique of powder preparation, it develops quickly and is applied in many important material sciences. The principle of freeze drying, the process characteristics and the application in advanced materials in recent years are reviewed. |
