Abstract: | Increasingly stringent requirements on the durability and reliability of machines and mechanisms are making it necessary to
develop new heat-resistant alloys that can be used for the surface alloying of metallurgical equipment parts. Either new structural
steels or heat-resistant alloys that contain iron can satisfy this need. Experimental results have been used to propose an
optimum composition of a heatresistant plasma coating based on iron-chromium aluminide Fe-23Cr-15Al-1Y. Use of this material
makes it possible to obtain coatings having characteristics better than those of existing coatings.
