Abstract: | Comments on L. R. Goldberg's (see record 1993-17546-001) account of the Big Five taxonomy as scientific taxonomy of personality traits. It is argued that the Big Five taxonomy lacks the essential features of scientific theory; there is little concern with personality theory, with making testable deductions, and with demonstrating that the personality factors fit in with the results obtained.
