Influences of Living Activities on Gardening in Private Gardens in Beijing

Private gardens in Beijing were important living places in the past dynasties. Varied activities there, including visiting, entertaining, writing poems and living, showed the complicated functions of garden, and had some impact on landscape. This article studies human activities forms in the private gardens of Beijing in the past time on the base of numerous materials, analyzes the interactive relationship between living activities in garden and landscape, and sums up the local features.
