摘    要:沟槽等离激元是一种电磁振荡,它束缚于刻在金属表面截面为单个波长尺度的沟槽里,并沿着沟槽传播.沟槽等离激元由于其低传播损耗及可控的传播方向,在集成光路上有潜在的应用,因而受到人们的关注.本文作者在银膜表面刻沟槽,并在沟槽两侧加上周期性结构,并研究了这种周期性结构对沟槽等离激元的耦合和传播的影响.通过扫描近场光学显微镜观察,发现相对于没有周期性结构的沟槽,有周期性结构的情况下,传播于沟槽中的沟槽等离激元强度增强.同时还利用有限时域差分方法计算模拟了相应的过程.模拟结果与实验相符,证明了确实是由于周期性结构导致了沟槽等离激元的增强效应.

Abstract:We have experimentally studied the enhancement of channel plasmon polaritons (CPPs) propagating in silver groove surrounded by period corrugations. The result of scanning near-field optical microscope (SNOM) shows that much more CPPs are confined into the silver groove surrounded by periodic corrugations than that without surface corrugations.
