Abstract:The recovery work of sublevel caving method must be delegated under cavedrock,caved ore in direct contact with overburden waste rock,and ore emit from the draw hole bounding by overburden waste rock.The dilution rate and loss rate are bigger and more difficult to control,so it is important for mine production to research the reasonable overburden thickness.This paper studies overburden thickness with drawing theory and PFC2D numerical simulation to determine the reasonable overburden thickness for an iron using sublevel caving mining method.
