| Abstract: | Yanqi Basin is located between Tarim Basin and Tuha Basin, and the attribution of its Mesozoic stratigraphy has been a long dispute. By using a multi_element method of stratigraphy, this paper has discussed paleontology, sedimentary cycles, petrology and structural evolution in the northern and southern Xinjiang respectively, and it is suggested that the Mesozoic stratigraphy in Yanqi Basin is of the southern type and shows some features of the northern type. |
