| Abstract: | In this paper the causes, classification and damages of water hammer are specified briefly. The conditions are analyzed under which the water hammer is easy occur; at the same time some prevention measures such as installing check valve, transforming pipe network and other measures are elaborated to solve different water hammer phenomena. |
