Application of JTAG Boundary Scan Technique in Hardware Test of High-speed Network Router

As the scale and complexity of hardware systems increase quickly,it is now a more difficult task to test them.The JTAG boundary scan technique can well make up the shortcoming of traditional test techniques.But there are some difficulties in carrying on board-level connection test of the high-speed network router because of its architecture. This article first gives a brief introduction of JTAG boundary scan basic conception and protocol, and then according to the high-speed router hardware architecture, provides a method which can carry on the board-level connection test by using JTAG boundary scan flexibly,at last describes in detail the theory and implementation of this method.
