| Abstract: | A historical retrospect to the evolvement of leak before break(LBB)application is followed by a prospective analysis of its application in China. Investigated are the various expressions and measure- ment methods for materials'fracture toughness, and analyzed are the LBB requirements to candidate materi- als with reference to the practices in different countries. |
