坚持科学发展观加快水能资源开发

我国是一个水能资源极为丰富的国家，经过半个世纪几代水电建设者的不懈努力，到2004年9月，我国水电装机突破1亿kW，取得了巨大的成绩，但从开发量看，只达到了经济可开发量的25%。因此，我国的水电开发还任重道远。让我们抓住目前水电发展的大好机遇，努力实现到2010年水电装机突破1．5亿kW，2020年突破2．5亿kW的宏伟奋斗目标。

Adhering to scientific development outlook and speeding up water energy resource exploitation

China is very rich in water energy resource. Thanks to unremitting efforts in water energy and hydropower development over half the century, China achieved in great success with the total hydropower installed capacity reaching 100 GW. But it only takes up 25% of the total exploitable volume. That means we are shouldering the heavy burden for hydropower development. Taking the opportunity for hydropower development, we are exerting ourselves to realize the objective that the total hydropower installed capacity reaches 150 GW by 2010 and 250 GW by 2020 respectively.
