| Abstract: | The definition,characteristics and correlative technologies of virtual reality are introduced,and the application of it in different fields,especially the military field,is given.Then,the current situation of virtual reality’s application in simulation training of U.S.Army is described from the following 7 aspects: virtual battlefield building,individual training,combat training under the same environment but different places,commanding personnel training,commanding and decision-making ability,armament manufacturing and virtual warfare of information network.Finally,the future development trends of the application of virtual reality in U.S.military simulation training are discussed,which may supply a reference for our application of virtual reality technology. |
