Abstract: | A continuous solution is obtained for a system that has one degree of freedom and undergoes free oscillations when subjected to viscous and asymmetric dry friction. It is shown that over time such a system begins to undergo periodic oscillations with a limit cycle of constant amplitude. The equation of the phase-plane vector that is presented makes it possible to construct this vector in relation to the initial conditions for any type of nonlinearity without shifts along the horizontal axis.Translated from Problemy Prochnosti, No. 3, pp. 71–73, March, 1994. |
