Effect of percutaneous prying and PFNA on intertrochanteric fracture of osteoporotic femur in elderly patients

Objective:To explore the effect of percutaneous prying and proximal anti-rotation intramedullary nail(PFNA)in the treatment of osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly.Methods:A retrospective analysis of 90 elderly patients with osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures treated in our hospital was performed.Among them,50 patients were treated with percutaneous prying combined with PFNA(observation group),and 44 patients were treated with open reduction PFNA treatment(control group);compare the operation index,fracture healing status,postoperative hip joint function recovery and surgical complication rate of the two groups.Results:The operation time,incision length,operation bleeding volume and hospitalization time of observation group were lower than those of control group(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in fracture healing time between observation group and control group(P>0.05);3 Months,the Harris Harris score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);6 months after surgery,there was no significant difference in the Harris Harris score of the observation group and the control group(P>0.05);At 3 months,the hip mobility of the observation group was greater than that of the control group(P<0.05);6 months after surgery,there was no statistically significant difference in hip mobility between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05);The surgical complication rate of the patient was 4.00% lower than that of the control group of 17.50%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Percutaneous prying and PFNA treatment of elderly osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures have the advantages of less surgical trauma than open reduction PFNA,early postoperative functional exercise to promote hip joint function recovery,and lower surgical complications.
