Abstract: | To determine the effective damping of a symmetric, balanced laminated composite, three different analytical models were compared.
In the first model, Adams and Ni's theory was used. In the second model, modified classical lamination theory based upon the
clastic viscoelastic correspondence principle was used. In the third model, and energy approach was developed to investigate
the damping of laminated composite beams. Four typical laminated composites with ±g]s, 0/±θ]s, 0/θ]s and 0/±θ/90]s stacking sequences were employed for this study. |
