The Projection of Body in the Classical Architecture

The paper discusses how the bodily physical form has projected onto buildings. The analogy between body and architecture rooted from Vitruvius, and fully developed in the Renaissance. Anthropomorphism in the architecture is intimately related to body. The projection of body in the architecture presents as proportion and geometry, which endows architecture not only an organic form, but also the formal autonomy and classif ication.
