| Abstract: | The effect of the internal capacitive compensation for reactive power in an induction motor is examined. In this motor, the stator winding is a combination of two windings, which play a role of the operating winding of the motor and compensating windings when they are connected according to the circuit of a rotatable autotransformer to electric capacity. If the internal capacitive compensation for reactive power is used, the start-up and operation performances of an induction motor are increased and the engineering and economical performances of the induction motor are improved. |
