Abstract:In order to explore the causes of structural deformation of the canal engineering in Heilongjiang Province and understand the engineering properties of the canal foundation soil in the region,taking the foundation soil of Wunan main canal and Hongqi main canal in the first phase of the expansion project of diversion from Nenjiang as the research object,the engineering properties of the canal soil in Heilongjiang area were explored through a variety of indoor tests.And the internal factors of the dispersion were analyzed from the salt and material composition.Then the corresponding treatment measures were put forward according to the actual situation of the project.The results show that the canal foundation soil in the two irrigation areas of the project was a kind of special soil with dispersibility,expansibility and salt content reaching the standard of saline soil;The content of sodium ion was the main reason for the dispersibility of soil samples,and the content of Montmorillonite was not the necessary condition for judging the dispersibility of soil samples;The no-load expansion rate of soil samples was 4.2%~7.1%,and the load expansion rate of 50 kPa was 2.5%~4.0%;The cohesion of the soil sample was 16.68~34.92 kPa,and the internal friction angle was 11.5°~21.1°.The treatment measures,such as avoiding winter construction,strengthening foundation stability,and strengthening the bottom and foot of canal,can provide reference for the construction of the canal engineering with such special canal foundation soil.
