Abstract:In order to understand the pollution characteristics in Baijiuhu basin,the distributed hydrological model SWAT and two dimensional mathematical model MIKE21 were used to quantitatively calculate the pollution load and pol-lution reduction flowing into the Shijiuhu Lake.The R2 of SWAT model for simulation of runoff,nitrogen load and phos-phorus load were all greater than 0.6.and the average relative error of MIKE21 model for simulation of the total nitrogen and total phosphorus concentration were all less than 0.3.The SWAT model and MIKE21 model have applicability in the pollution simulation of the Shijiuhu basin.The results show that the largest contributor of pollution load to the Shijiuhu Basin in 2018 was the Zhongliuhe River.whose total nitrogen and phosphorus pollution loads accounted for 69%and 67%,respectively.Under the condition of the lowest monthly water level in the past decade,the permitted total phosphorus discharge in the basin is 84.55 t/a.the pollution load into the lake needs to be reduced by 5.19 t/a,with a reduc-tion ratio of 5.8%,and the permitted total nitrogen discharge is 1235.80 t/a the pollution load into the lake needs to be reduced by 1164.97 t/a.with a reduction ratio of 48.5%.The results have a certain guidance meaning for basin scale pol-lution control and management,which can be used as the basis for the water environment and water ecological manage-ment in Shijiuhu Basin.
