楔形光纤与半导体激光器的耦合研究

摘    要:结合半导体激光器的特点,通过对高斯光束发散特性的分析,得到激光器的模场分布特点,指出与激光器最佳耦合的光纤外形为楔形光纤,楔形光纤的楔角与尖端半径决定着耦合效率。实验表明,楔形光纤与半导体激光器的耦合效率明显优于尖锥形光纤与半导体激光器的耦合。用楔角为104°,尖端半径为3.3μm的楔形光纤进行测量,测得最大耦合效率达到87.2%。

Abstract:The features of mode field distribution of semiconductor laser were observed with the analysis of the Gauss beam propagation character and the beam ray-trace method.The fibre-optical external with the best coupling efficiency for laser device was wedge-shaped fibre-optical.Both radius and wedge angle of the wedge-shaped fibre-optical were optimized for the best coupling efficiency.The experiment indicates that coupling efficiency of wedge-shaped fibre-optical and semiconductor laser device is obvious better than a cone-endface-fibre.The best coupling efficiency is 87.2% at wedge-shaped fibre-optical angle 104° and the cylindrical radius 3.3 μm.
