| Abstract: | The yellow cords and blue cords are kinds of defects that appear in the opal glass production.We have tested and determined iron oxide content and density of the yellow cords and blue cords in opal glass. We have also made the melting experiment in the laboratory. It is proved that the yellow cords are stained by iron oxide.The blue cords are either stained by iron oxide or caused by the fluorine's volatilization. |
