通古斯卡爆炸现场泥炭样品的中子活化研究

摘    要:用中子活化法研究了取自1908年通古斯卡爆炸现场一个钻孔泥炭样品中的铱和其它有关元素的丰度变化,发现在1908年爆炸层及其上覆层位处的铱有明显的异常,最大铱丰度约为背景值的5倍以上。

Abstract:The abundance variations of iridium and other related elements in the peat samples from a drilling hole of the Tunguska explosion epicenter were studied by neutron activation analysis. We found the striking anomaly of iridium abundance at the 1908 explosion layer and its overlying strata, whose maximum reaches over five times higher than the background value. On the basis of the elemental correlation of Ir with Ni and Co and in combination with the information of hydrogen and carbonisotopic excursions, a hypothesis that a comet entering the earth orbit might causethis modern explosion event was deduced.
