基于四叉树小波分形的医学图像压缩

摘    要:文章提出了一种基于四叉树小波分形的医学图像压缩新算法。利用小波子带图像间的相似性和块内存在的自相似性进行分形编码。克服了传统分形编码复杂和编码时间过长的缺点,有效提高了编码效率。实验表明,此方法在无诊断失真的情况下可获得较好的压缩效果,在远程医疗和PACS系统等领域的医学图像压缩中有重要的潜在应用价值。

Abstract:This paper presented a new algorithm of medical image compression based on quadtree wavelet fractal. In order to improve coding efficiency, we take advantage of the selflong computation time required in the encoding. The test has proved that this algorithm can achieve better compression without diagnostic loss. Therefore, this algorithm can be potentially used in telemedicine and PACS.
