| Abstract: | Enzymes as catalysts in the polymerizations for polymer syntheses were reviewed with 31 references. It was described that lipases catalyze the polymerizations of various symmetrical, achiral, asymmetric carboxylic acid derivatives and lactones for the synthesis of various polyesters, peroxidases catalyze the polymerizations of phenol derivatives and anilines derivatives for the polymer preparation as the conductive materials, cellulases catalyze the polymerizations of cellulose derivatives and other enzymes catalyze the polymerizations and oligomerizations for synthetic polymers. |
