Abstract:HIP is beneficial to increasing the density of the sample.The higher the temperature is,the less the average density of cermet will be.The effect of HIP Process on Ti(C,N)-based cermet was discussed in this paper.By appropriate vacuum sintering,HIP can greatly influence the bending strength of the cermet.For the materials with coarse microstructure,the bending strength of samples also be considered to draw HIP process as well as composition.The craft of HIP should be studied further.
