| Abstract: | The background of polylactic acid (PLA) development was simple introduced. The synthesis of PLA, the spinning of PLA fiber as well as the producing of PLA nonwovens were reviewed. It was discussed that the biodegradability of PLA fiber showed different behavior to varied conditions. In addition, the current situation of exploitation of PLA fiber products was presented. |
