传统电子地图的实现一般采用WebGIS技术,通常需要购买昂贵的专业开发软件,开发成本高,系统庞大,并且地图的效果不一定理想。基于Flash技术的电子地图,不仅易于实现地图的信息查询、测距等功能,而且成本低,地图形式多样,是一种矢量化的电子地图,具有图形数据量小、精度高、交互性好等优点。
