| Abstract: | A study was made of enhancing the service life of the acidic linings of medium-frequency induction furnace by selecting appropriate lining material and lining method, properly baking the applied lining, employing a suitable smelting method, and keeping good routine maintenance of the furnace. As a result, the lining cost per ton of steel was appreciably cut down. |
