Abstract:The development of research on degumming of edible oils by membrane ultrafiltration was reviewed. The major advantages of this new technology applied in degumming process were stated. The operation parameters and the materials of membrane ultrafiltration degumming were introduced. Finally, the potential application of this technology was predicted.
