| Abstract: | Proposes mean and range Variable Sampling lnterval control charts with sampling at Fixed Times(VSIFT)based on Reynolds model of Shewhart charts,calculates the average time to signal for x and R charts and combined x and R charts under variable sampling intervals with sampling at fixed times.Meanwhile,these charts are compared with the Fixed Sampling lntervals (FSI) x and R charts.The VSIFT charts are more efficient than the FSI charts,and as efficient as the VSI charts,which can provide the required protection for the process at less expense. |
