| Abstract: | This review article deals chronologically with all clay-based water control agents developed and used in Shengli Oil Filds for water shutoff in producing wells and for injection profile modification in water-injecting wells. The types(single-or double-fluid),compositions,mechanizms of blckage creation, and field performance of these agents are introduced.The adaption of clay particle to reservoir pore in size and the optimization of fluids composition are emphasized as a results of recent researches in this field. |
