Abstract: | This paper covers a brief review of the induction generator theory. The equivalent circuit is covered along with comment on performance characteristics. The application involving the relaying of induction generators can be simple to complex depending on the process requirements. As an example, the induction generator can be connected to an expander in the natural gas system with a minimum of relaying, or it can be used as a motor to help accelerate a multi- element train and function as a brake for the multi-element train and thus complicate the relaying. A more complicated application is analyzed and relaying suggested. |
