Abstract:This paper presents current situation of fiber optic communication system applied in Zhengzhou Electric power Supply Bureau, expounds the principles of Wavelength Division Multiplex (WDM) system and recent development of Dense WDM (DWDM) technologies. The application of WDM system in expanding capacity of the existing fiber optic communication is described. Some practical problems considered in system designing are discussed.
