STUDY ON THEPREPARATIONAND APPLICATION OF FLUIDIED BEDINCINERATION OF HAZARDOUS WASTES

Fluidized bed incineratoris an attractive ,economical device forthe incineration of hazardous waste liquids.It is a compact unitthat exhibits high combustion intensity and high de struction efficiency within the bed .The extra degrees offreedom ofthe design permit greater opera tional flexibility than available with a conventional oil/gas incinerator. The fluidized bed reactor promotesthe dispersion ofincoming wasteliquids with rapid heatingtoignitiontemperature and pro motes sufficient residence time as well as violent mixing conditions for complete combustion . Com bustion is normally self supporting ,the waste liquids being rapidly broken up , dried and burned within the bed .The burning rate of waste is greatlyincreased since the rate ofpyrolysis ofthe solid waste materialisincreased by directcontact with the hotinertbed material.The completenessofgas phase combustion reaction is also enhanced dueto continuous mixing ofgases with the burning solid surface in the bed .
