Database development of the standardized parts of moulds in Solidworks condition

The standard entity models and size parameters for all kinds components in solidworks condition are set up with the help of VB, through calling API functions of solidworks and making use of technology of ADO. With the punch shank as an example, the process for developing the database of the standardized parts of moulds is introduced in detail. The techniques of the development on SolidWorks and the key techniques on the development of 3D standardpart library of moulds are introduced. The parameterization standardized parts of moulds, the parameter database of standardized parts of moulds and the structure and function of mutual interface of user are emphasized in this paper. It will be of a great value in the further development of solidworks and generalizing standardization technology of mould.
