Research Progress in the Modification of Phenolic Resins Used As Fire-Proof Materials

In this paper, methods of modification on phenolic resin used as fire- proof materials were introduced generally. These methods includes inorganic and organic materials amelioration, emphasizing the molybdenum acid method, boron acid method, adjacent phenyl phenol method. The principle of reactions, modification synthesization process, main influencing factors of these three methods were demonstrated. Other modification process was introduced briefly. The foreground of the modification was analyzed.
