Abstract: | Since computer capabilities steadily increased during the past decades, time domain methods for the simulation of electromagnetic field behavior became more and more efficient in analyzing microwave and millimeter-wave structures. They even enable the modeling of linear and nonlinear lumped devices embedded into a linear, passive, waveguiding environment. In this article, the principles of nonlinear modeling in the time domain using field simulation methods will be summarized and the applicability will be demonstrated for the TLM method. |
