| Abstract: | In consideration of direct coupling of a laser and a modulator,as well as the influence of the coupling groove,we analyse the characteristics of wavelength tuning and frequency modulation of a monolithic groove coupled cavity laser diodes by using techniques of scattering and two-step equavlent reflectivity. It is shown that such analysis method has the advantages of simple mathematical treatment and clear physical picture. |
