摘    要:介绍了美国惠普公司的HP-4500感耦等离子体质谱仪的分析性能。列举了在常规分析条件时测定的灵敏度、背景计数以及检出限数据。通过地质标样的多元素分析和对照,考查了仪器的分析准确度和精密度。同时讨论了离子色谱(IC)和ICP-MS联用技术对高纯稀土分析的潜力。

Performance Characteristics of an HP-4500 Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer

Abstract:This paper describes the performance characteristics of a commercial HP-4500 ICP-MS. Data about sensitivity, precision, background and detection limit are presented. Accuracy is assessed by analysis of geological reference materials. The calibration procedure using Rh(103) as an internal standard for many elements, covering the full working range 7 to 238 m/z, works well. The results obtained for a wide range of trace elements are in good agreement with certified values. The potential of ion chromatography on-line hyphenated with ICP-MS in the analysis of high purity REE materials is also described.
