| Abstract: | An introduction was made to the status of development and preparation of materials for superalloys, especially single crystal superalloys, at home and abroad. The applications of precisely casted superalloys in civil and military fields such as aero-engines, gas turbine engines, rocket engines, ships and vehicles were overviewed as well as the demands for the superalloys. It is pointed out that the development of superalloys concerns both the national security and the national welfare and people's livelihood. |
