Abstract:The recent advance in immobilization of biologically active macromolecules onto functional polymer microspheres was reviewed with 37 references, and emphatically dealed with the recent development of covalent orientated coupling. Methods of preparation and characterization of functional polymeric microsphere were described, particularly the method of copolymerization of functional monomers and characterization of surface of functional latexes were discussed in detail. The application of biologically active polymer microsphers was also briefly covered.
