Mass addition of a supersonic jet

Presented are results of an experimental determination of the mass addition for a supersonic jet in flow regimes with n = P_ch/P_a 1. An empirical formula is given relating the mass addition in the initial section to the Mach number M_a at the nozzle exit, the ratio n, and the distance from the nozzle exit section to the section examined.
